| Location: Flowers River Lodge is nestled in the mountains of northern Labrador 166 miles north of Goose Bay. Air Canada and Provincial Airlines operate flights into Goose Bay from most Canadian cities with connections to cities throughout the world. The Lodge is at N55 44.91 W061 13.17. |
| The Lodge: Flowers River Lodge is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences of home. The main Lodge is constructed of BC red cedar and is able to accommodate up to eight guests. The Lodge has a modern kitchen, dining room, comfortable box spring beds, clean linens and bedding, towels, indoor plumbing, two washrooms, shower, electricity and satellite telephone with free internet access. |
| The Fishing: With its remote location there is little angling pressure and the fishing here is spectacular. One of the additional reasons for the abundance of fish is that the lodge also practices a catch & release policy that will preserve this valuable resource for many years to come. This destination is renowned for its Atlantic Salmon which enter the river in early July, its Arctic Char and its Brook Trout fishing. |
| Typical Day: The Lodge schedule revolves around the flights in and out of Goose Bay. You arrive on a Sunday and leave on a Sunday and during the week you are up early for breakfast, fly every day to your fishing destination by float plane or helicopter and return to the lodge every night for a great meal in the main dining room. |
| Getting There: The lodge is accessible by fly-in only from Goose bay. The flight to and from the lodge is included in the price. |
