Frontier Far West Lodge

Location: Frontier FarWest Lodge is located on the outskirts of Smithers in Telkwa, BC. This is a 4 day float trip that is a true BC wilderness experience!

The Trip: This is a 4 day float trip down the Bulkley River designed specifically for anglers choosing to leave all the creature comforts of the lodge behind. The trip consists of floating two separate canyons on the Bulkley River. Each float trip is 2 days/ 1 night and between each guests stay at a hotel in Smithers to have a hot shower and get cleaned up. The trip accesses the only two overnight camps available to anglers on the entire Bulkley River.

The Fishing: The Bulkley River is well known for its long sweeping runs and incredibly abundant insect life which make it the undisputable best dry fly steelhead river in North America. These overnight float trips will put you on some of the very best water the Bulkley has to offer - and you will have it all to yourself ! The camps have been strategically located on magnificent stretches of water that give anglers the chance to fish as early in the day and as late into the evening as you wish !

Typical Day: Get up, have breakfast & start fishing. Have lunch, fish. Have dinner. Fish. Go to sleep. Make no mistake – this is a hard core wilderness trip!

Geting There: Clients must arrive in Smithers the night before the scheduled trip start date. The lodge will arrange pick up and drop off from the airport as required. Regular flights are available.

What is Included: 4 days of fully guided fishing, transportation from your hotel to the river, meals, 2 nights accommodation in camp, all meals & snacks and one nights accommodation in town on night #2 of your trip.

PRICE: 2009 CDN pricing/person Double Occup. $3,100 Canadian per person

50% non-refundable deposits are required upon booking with the balance due 90 days prior to arrival. As with any other fishing trip, travel insurance is highly recommended.
