North Bow Lodge

Location: North Bow Lodge is located on the north side of the Bow River approximately 35 minutes southeast of Calgary, Alberta.

The Lodge:North Bow is surprisingly the only full service Lodge on the Bow River. The lodge is a nonsmoking facility with 7 bedrooms with private baths, a full-service dining room, an indoor sauna & meeting facilities for up to 15 people. North Bow Lodge is fully Wi-Fi accessible.

The Fishing: The Bow River is a 40 mile dream for any fisher. World renowned for it's large, strong, and healthy rainbow and brown trout, the average catch is generally between 40 - 45 cm (16"-19") with many up to 60cm (24"). Bow River Trout are noted for aerial displays and if you manage to hook one of the huge browns, prepare for a battle of epic proportions!

Typical Day: Be prepared for 16-23 km (10-14 mile) drift boat trips as they are the best way to access the good fishing spots on the Bow. Drift boat trips are 7 to 10 hours but depending on the time of year guides may recommend walk & wade trips in the foothills. A typical fishing day from the Lodge begins at 8:30am and ends around dark.

Getting There: Guests can be picked up at the Calgary airport and transported to a local fly shop for licenses before driving 35 minutes to the lodge. Airport pick up, drop off & licenses are an extra cost.

Price: 2009 pricing is $425 USD/person/day for double occupancy and 50% deposits are required upon booking with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival. As with any other fishing trip, travel insurance is highly recommended.

Dates: Trips are a minimum of 3 days and WILSON’S books numerous spots varying in length throughout the season. Call for details.

Cheques: Payment should be made payable and mailed directly to “North Bow Lodge” noting “WILSON’S Toronto”.

Deposit Policy
A minimum non-refundable deposit equal to 15% of the trip value must be paid each booking. Some trips require greater deposits - please see each lodge flier for further information or email us for details.
