North Knife Lake Lodge

Location: Rapid Lake Lodge and Barnoin River Camp are located in the arctic region of northern Quebec, 900 miles north of Montreal and only 25 miles from Ungava Bay.

The Lodge: Rapid Lake Lodge was founded in 1990 by Alain & Serge Lagace and has become one of the premier lodges in the Canadian Arctic. If you have dreamed of a place in the world where you can catch char on every cast this is the place. With spectacular waterfalls, crystal clear water and secluded river pools the Ungava Bay region has arguably the best Arctic Char fishing in Canada. In addition to fly fishing, other experiences available at the lodge include flying safaris to view the Torngat Mountains, icebergs, polar bears, whales and the Labrador Coast.

The Fishing: This lodge is for fly anglers who want to catch lots of big Arctic Char ! It is worth noting that because of the quality of fishing and the daily fly–outs this destination is very similar to the experience you get in Alaska. During your trip you fish some of the best Arctic Char rivers in the world and the opportunities in this remote area are as endless as the scenery is beautiful.

Getting There: The lodge is accessible only by air. To get to the lodge you fly commercially to Montreal and on to Kuujjuaq where lodge staff meet guests and transfer you by an Air Inuit Twin Otter for the 45 minute flight to the lodge. The flights to and from Montreal to Kuujjuaq, from Kuujjuaq to the lodge and all daily flights are included in the cost of your trip.

$6,400 per person + taxes – 6 days & 5 nights
$7,350 per person + taxes – 7 days & 6 nights

50% deposits are required upon booking with the balance due 90 days prior to arrival.

Deposit Policy
