Pira Lodge

Location: Pira Lodge is located in the north-east corner of Argentina on the banks of the Iberá Marshland. This marsh covers 3,500,000 acres and is where you will spend your days in state-ofthe- art Hell´s Bay flats skiffs viewing 350 species of birds & over 155 mammals & reptiles.

The Lodge: Pirá has 5 air-conditioned bedrooms each with 2 double beds, large private bathrooms and french windows that open to shaded verandas and a beautiful view of the surrounding wilderness. The lodge’s spacious main room leads to a well-stocked bar and the main dining room serves gourmet meals featuring Argentina’s famed beef & fine wines and the helpful staff are always available to make every day perfect.

The Fishing:Pira is one of the best places to come for one of South America´s most exciting game fish - Golden Dorado. Referred to locally as the "river tiger“, freshwater Dorado is a member of the Salmon family and known for its aggessive fight, strong runs and relentless jumps.

Getting There: The Lodge has a private airstrip but is also easily reached via a comfortable overnight bus from Buenos Aires which takes guests to the nearby town of Mercedes. There staff pick up guests and drive them 1 hour to the lodge (book a 1st class ticket and ask for the front row seat !). We recommend that you make your travel arrangements through Prana Travel, a division of Nervous Waters that will provide escorts and arrange for all ground transportation.

Deposit Policy
