| Location: Sand Beach Lodge is located just south of Sudbury on the banks of the French River. This area is part of the picturesque Canadian Shield and the scenery is as stunning as the fishing is good ! |
| The Lodge: Sand Beach Lodge was founded in 1941 and has earned a reputation for offering a great fishing experience at a family-oriented fishing lodge. This lodge has amenities available for every member of your family including bicycles, windsurfers, tennis courts and paddleboats which can be found on the beach. The lounge bar also awaits the day’s end ! |
| The Fishing: The French River is known for walleye, small & largemouth bass and pike. The fishing in this area is excellent and the lodge has excellent guides available who will make your trip enjoyable. |
| Typical Day: This destination is perhaps the least “hard core” fishing trip of any that we promote – but the fishing here is excellent. All meals are served in the main lodge but shore lunches are usually served to keep guests on the water as long as possible. That said there is no one pounding on your door in the morning to ensure you meet the guide at the dock – unless you ask ! You set your daily schedule and the friendly staff at the lodge will do their best to accommodate whatever goal you want to achieve. |
| Getting There: Sand Beach Lodge is a 4 hour drive from Toronto via Hwy 400. See the lodge website for directions. |
